Prep Network Extends Technology Partnership with GameChanger

The deal extends GameChanger’s role as the official scorekeeping, stats, and team management app for all Prep Network Brands.

PLYMOUTH, MN and NEW YORK, NY — Prep Network, the national leader in prep sports coverage, events, and athlete recruitment, announced a multi-year partnership extension with GameChanger, the #1 rated youth sports app for live streaming, scheduling, and scorekeeping. The deal extends GameChanger’s role as the official scorekeeping, stats, and team management app for Prep Hoops, Prep Girls Hoops, Prep Hoops Next, Prep Soccer, Prep Dig & Prep Redzone. Together, these brands represent about 10,000 games annually.

As part of the extension, Prep Network will now require that GameChanger be used to stat and scorekeep their basketball games. To make this happen, GameChanger will be providing iPads to be used for every Prep Hoops, Prep Girls Hoops, and Prep Hoops Next tournament, ensuring participating teams can seamlessly score and track stats.

In addition, GameChanger’s parent company, DICK’S Sporting Goods, will support the overall partnership, engaging with teams and fans through event activations and retail opportunities.

“The first two years of our partnership with GameChanger have been a success as we’ve integrated with their app to enhance our event experiences,” said Nick Carroll, co-founder and CGO of Prep Network. “We’re excited to extend this partnership with GameChanger, with the addition of DICK’S Sporting Goods, to expand the value we can bring to our event attendees nationwide.”

As the leader in prep sports coverage, Prep Network’s writers and scouts produce over 4,000 articles each month and host over 100 tournaments and 150 showcases with thousands of teams and tens of thousands of athletes across the country each year. The network has a goal to provide coverage for student-athletes at all levels to help them gain exposure to college coach recruiters.

“As one of the most respected sources for nationwide prep sports coverage and top tournament organizers in the country, Prep Network is an invaluable partner for us as we continue in our mission to help families elevate the next generation through sports,” said Sameer Ahuja, president of GameChanger. “We’re excited to extend our relationship with Prep Network and build upon the solid foundation we’ve established together over the first two years of the partnership.”

Already the top-rated youth sports app for baseball and softball, GameChanger now features deep analytics, scorekeeping, and streaming for basketball. In 2023, the company released “AutoStream” for basketball, a powerful AI tool designed to help parents and fans capture every exciting basketball moment.

Basketball coaches use GameChanger to keep track of the score and live stream videos of the games so parents, friends, and family members can follow along via the app anytime, anywhere.
