World-record-breaking high school freshman Melanie Doggett has signed an NIL deal with Nike Running, adding to the brand’s roster of talented youth athletes.
Doggett, who will be attending Atlanta’s Landmark High School this fall, is already a rising star in track and field. Her accolades include winning the 100m National Championship in USATF’s 8-and-under age division, setting an age-group world record at 9 years old in the 200m, and at 11, setting age-group world records in both the 60m and 100m. She also won back-to-back state championships in middle school.
At the 2025 Millrose Games, she most recently broke her own age-group world record in the 60m, finishing in just 7.17 seconds.
“Nike can’t wait to support her as she continues to break barriers in the sport for the next generation,” the brand said in a statement last week.

“The Nike team has always made me feel welcome and heard,” Doggett added, “I think it’s really cool that they want to work with me, and I’m excited to be a part of the family.”
Doggett joins a list of high school track stars signed by Nike this year, including Jane Hedengren, Sophie Rodriguez, and Dana Wilson.
