They Dripped Out a Legend

One eighth grader is changing the drip game before he’s old enough to drive. Legend Floyd, representing Nelson Youth Football, just dropped a Batman-themed collab with Phenom Elite that’s turning heads. The Clackamas, Oregon, wide receiver is proving that even the youngest rising sports stars can tap into the new world of Name, Image, and Likeness.

The collab, posted to Floyd’s social media on Wednesday, includes black and yellow cleats and gloves stamped with the official Batman logo. The cleats feature intricately designed bat details as well.

This isn’t Floyd’s first collaboration with Phenom Elite. The Class of 2030 standout revealed these lime-green Matrix-style cleats in March.

The partnership makes sense as Floyd has been making a splash on the scene in the Pacific Northwest playing both football and basketball like his dad, Rashad Floyd. The elder Floyd cemented his name in Oregon history by being inducted into the Portland State Hall-of-Fame earlier this year.

Phenom Elite is known for its eccentric cartoon and pop-culture themes. I’m just glad that Legend is on our side. Wouldn’t want a kid of his talent becoming the Joker! Cop a pair on sale here.

A Brand Worth More Than $1.50

In an ever-changing world, Costco has branded itself as a model of consistency. The often-told story about its famous food court hot dog combo makes its viral rounds on the internet every so often because of this. The story goes that in 2018, then-COO W. Craig Jelinek approached Costco co-founder Jim Sinegal distraught that the store’s $1.50 hot dog and soda combo was far too cheap to be sustainable.

“Jim, we can’t sell this hot dog for a buck fifty,” he reportedly said. “We are losing our rear ends.’ According to Jelinek, Sinegal told him “If you raise [the price of the] effing hot dog, I will kill you. Figure it out.” The price hasn’t changed since it was implemented in 1985.

As of 2025, in a worrisome economic state of the world, the combo remains the same price. Even if it does eventually change, it will be immortalized forever in this unique dripped-out collectible.

Costco’s Kirkland brand is teaming up with Nike for a Costco-branded pair of Nike SB Dunk Lows. Reportedly set for release this holiday season, these are a must-cop for any Costco fan that remembers a time when things were simpler, and a lot cheaper.
