Drip of the Week: Kicks for the Ladies, Alien Sneakers, and the Grim Reaper

It’s All About the Moolah

Women’s sports are exploding, especially women’s basketball. With superstars like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, and other young stars entering the pro ranks, youth athletes have more female players to look up to and emulate than ever.
Now, shoe brands are beginning to take notice and tailor their footwear to the needs of female hoopers. This week, Moolah Kicks released the Neovolt Pro V3. Retailing for $134.99, the latest version of the flagship shoe keeps with the brand’s slogan of “no break in” and “no burning.” The shoe is designed for the female foot.

“Women’s feet are different than men’s feet in 4 places,” as described on the Moolah Kicks website. “Our sneakers reflect this with a Narrow Heel, Lifted Arch, Shallow Lateral Side, and Slim Width.”
Based in New York City, Natalie White founded Moolah Kicks in 2020 as the first footwear brand specifically for women. With initial investment from Mark Cuban, the company has grown into a burgeoning hoops brand with stars like Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams on board.

A Kick That’s Out of this World

In 2025, shoe brands are doing whatever they can to push the boundaries of the classic sneaker aesthetic, even venturing into outer space.
The latest from Nike is a collaboration with avant-garde fashion label Windowsen for an Air Max reimagining that will turn heads from here to Pluto.
“At Windowsen, I’ve always been fascinated by transformation,” said Windowsen founder and designer Sensen Lii. “With Nike, I wanted to explore what the future of sport could look like — not just in how we move, but in how we express who we are.”

The aesthetic is reminiscent of the 1990s rave scene. The green colorway looks like something straight out of the Matrix.

The original Air Max Muse debuted late last year, with Olympian Jordan Chiles rocking the futuristic kicks in promotions. Now, the unique, wobbly, and artistic Windowsen aesthetic will come to the SNKRS App and select Nike retailers on November 1.
Undead on the Diamond

It’s spooky season, and one baseball apparel brand is bringing the halloween spirit to the diamond. Pitchers Only sells training shorts, backpacks, and other gear for the best young pitchers in the game. Just this week, the brand announced its “Dark One” collection of shirts, hoodies, and shorts.

Check out these Grim Reaper-themed shorts for training and these sinister black hoodies for when the weather gets cool and the leaves change this fall.

On Thursday, Pitchers Only started a promotion on its Instagram for Halloween merch. The winner of the giveaway will be announced Sunday, October 19.
