The extremely viral “6-7” meme has only grown since we wrote about its connection to youth sports last month. And the meme’s originator—prep basketball star and Kansas commit Taylen Kinney—is back with another cool endorsement. On Saturday, Kinney showed off his partnership with VKTRY Gear for a comfortable insole designed to improve performance.

“More explosiveness, more bounce, and softer landings,” Kinney says in his endorsement. “When you’re playing at the elite level, that split-second burst determines if you beat your man or get beat, if your shot goes up or gets blocked, if you finish the highlight or end up in one.”

Like Kinney, VKTRY is trying to take advantage of social media in order to get its product out there. They’ve posted TikTok videos using the insoles to flip shoes into the air. The videos showed the kinetic energy of the insoles and their ability to help athletes become more explosive.

Now, the family-owned company has over one million followers on TikTok and lots of pro athlete support, from three-time slam dunk champion Mac McClung and Hall-of-famer Tracy McGrady, to silver slugger Gunnar Henderson. They’re also the official insoles of UConn Basketball and Team USA Volleyball.
