Notre Dame High School (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) isn’t your average prep football school. Aside from numerous successful alumni across several sports, the Knights are developing the top-ranked basketball player in the country, on the gridiron. Last week we profiled Tyran Stokes, praising his journey as a dual-sport athlete, so we had to see him up close and in person!

On October 3, Notre Dame hosted rival Loyola (Calif.) in a sold-out homecoming matchup. Notre Dame came into the game after a resounding 57-14 blowout victory against Culver City (Calif.), in Stokes’ much-anticipated football debut.

Despite the exciting spectacle of a dual-sport star with this much hype, you can’t sleep on the Notre Dame Knights as an overall program. This squad has multiple stars who will be playing big-time college football next fall. In another dominant performance, Notre Dame defeated Loyola 35-10, improving to 4-2 on the year and winning their opening league match of the season.

Though Stokes didn’t see much action in Friday’s matchup, he’s had quite a busy weekend.

For starters, it was announced Friday morning that Stokes signed an NIL deal with Nike.

And less than 24 hours after his game Friday night, Stokes was in Las Vegas to show out on the court in the Border League.

He led Notre Dame on the court with 27 points and eight rebounds against Dynamic Prep (Texas).

While Stokes grabs the headlines for his two-sport talent, he wasn’t the only star on the field Friday night.

Wyatt Brown wears number seven and moves like Michael Vick. The Class of 2026 dual-threat quarterback went off in Friday night’s homecoming blowout win! He finished 12/25 with 175 passing yards and one passing touchdown. He also had eight carries for 47 yards and three rushing touchdowns in the 35-10 victory.

The 6’3”, 190 lbs prospect just committed to West Virginia. The Mountaineers are getting quite the athlete out of Southern California.

Cool Hand Luc Has Big Night

Four-star USC commit Luc Weaver was Brown’s favorite target on Friday, finishing the game with five receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown. The 6’3 senior is the seventh-ranked receiver in the state of California and will stay home to be a part of the next line of great USC wideouts.

He got the game going early with a long bomb from Brown that set the tone for the night. Check out his best plays below.
