This Company Makes Insane Custom Facemasks

Today’s football players have more custom gear than ever. From “sheisty” masks (the slang term for a balaclava) to arm bands and sleeves, there are more ways than ever to “drip” yourself out on a football field.

One sportswear company, Sleefs, is taking “drip” to the next level, with eye-popping facemasks that feature messages—like “HIM” and “God First”—written into the lining of the mask. They also have facemasks that feature snarling teeth and other custom features.

Athletic apparel brand Sleefs has grown from a niche sleeve maker into a major provider of customized gear. They offer more than 1,000 designs and personalized gear for athletes nationwide. 

The company, headquartered in Davie, Florida, now produces sleeves, headbands, compression apparel, cleats, and accessories while serving both direct-to-consumer and wholesale markets.

Founded in 2011 by Jaime Schuster, Sleefs originally rose to prominence for their country flag arm sleeves. 

As demand increased, the brand expanded its creative operation and developed a wide catalog of designs for a variety of sports, like football and baseball. 

Sleefs also holds licensing agreements that allow it to produce branded gear for U.S. colleges, professional teams, and international soccer clubs. 

Beyond product development, Sleefs has established a strong presence in community engagement. The company partners with youth football camps in Florida and has donated more than $250,000 to schools and nonprofit organizations.
