Modern streetwear brand Fear of God took the sports world by storm when founder Jerry Lorenzo first began collaborations with Adidas in 2020. With the partnership reportedly coming to a close at the end of the year, Adidas and Fear of God are going out with a bang and releasing the Fear of God Athletics II Basketball Derrick Rose, mixing streetwear with practical top-tier hoops.

Fear of God, born out of the Los Angeles hypebeast waves of the early 2010s, was founded by Jerry Lorenzo, the son of former MLB manager Jerry Manuel. The brand quickly became one of the most influential independent streetwear brands, worn prominently by celebrities like Justin Bieber.
Lorenzo became the Global Head of Adidas Basketball in 2020 by way of fashion collaborations with the popular sports brand. Now, the brands are ending 2025 strong with the recent release of the Derrick Rose edition of the Fear of God Athletics II.

“What can you not say about D-Rose? He is the living example of everything Fear of God strives to be — graceful, honest, powerful, and elegantly humble through both the wins and the losses,” Lorenzo said in a statement on the Fear of God website. “He is the unanimous People’s Champ, representing a fearless conviction in a purpose bigger than himself.”
This edition of the Fear of God Adidas Basketball II has Rose’s logo on the heel with red laced throughout the minimalist colorway in reference to his status as a Chicago Bulls and Chi-town legend. If your formative hoops years were in the late 2000s, you were captivated by the once-in-a-generation story of the hometown hero determined to win it all for his city. Rose, whose career was shattered by injuries, swept the nation with his monstrous athleticism and stylistic flair.
Now, others try to emulate him. Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent warmed up in the sneakers before a game against the Boston Celtics this past week.
The sneaker is available only in select stores right now and the Adidas website for $180. Here’s where to buy.
